Japanese (Minor)
For the Japanese minor, students must complete 15 credit hours, including two semesters of language classes beyond the first-year. 10xxx-level language courses and University seminars on Japan-related topics do not count toward the minor.

In addition to the language course requirements, all minors must take at least one upper-division 3-credit courses in Japanese literature or Japanese culture taught by EALC faculty. Any exception must be approved by the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Remaining credit hours may be satisfied by taking additional Japanese language and culture courses, or other East Asia-related courses approved by the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
