French and Francophone Studies (Minor)

The requirements for a minor in French and Francophone Studies consist of successful completion of 5 courses that total at least 15 credits beginning at or above Intermediate French II (ROFR 20202).

• Of these five courses, one course must be at the 40xxx level and must be taken in residence at Notre Dame.
• Overall, at least half of the minor courses must be taken in residence at Notre Dame.
• Required among the five courses is ROFR 30310 (An Introduction to French Literary Analysis).
• Any substitutions or exceptions to the above program requires DUS approval.
• AP credits may not be applied to the minor.
