Business Analytics (BBA)

The Business Analytics major prepares students to be data-driven problem solvers and decision makers in an increasingly digital world. Massive datasets exist in firms and other repositories; meaningful, extractable insights exist within them. Students who study Business Analytics will learn how to conceive of the right questions to ask as well as the correct techniques to deploy to form a coherent story based on the data. Students will use cutting-edge tools and techniques to execute their research plans. The curriculum includes coursework on: data management, data mining, predictive analytics, machine learning, visualization, unstructured data, text mining, and other analytic techniques. Students with these skills will be in high demand in all disciplines, including HR, marketing, finance, accounting, IT, and consulting, as well as across a wide variety of firms.
