Finance (Minor)
Mendoza students interested in finance may consider pursuing the Finance Minor. This minor is available to all non-finance majors within the Mendoza College of Business and provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills related to financial markets, financial analysis, investment analysis, and valuation, among other areas. These skills will help to better prepare students for a wide range of business careers.
Applications for the minor will be considered each fall and spring. For more information on the application process, course requirements, and available finance electives, see the Department of Finance or the Mendoza Office of Undergraduate Studies.
The finance minor requires 15 credit hours beyond a student’s primary Mendoza major, including:

FIN 30400 and FIN 30600 can be used to satisfy the broadening course requirements under the Mendoza Core Curriculum.

ACCT 20200 can also be used to satisfy the broadening course requirement for non-accounting majors.
Note: As is the case for a finance major, all students pursuing a finance minor must earn a grade of C or better in FIN 20150.
