Finance (Minor for Non-Mendoza students)

Students interested in finance whose primary major lies in a college or school other than the Mendoza College of Business may consider pursuing this Finance Minor. This minor provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills related to financial markets, financial analysis, investment analysis, and valuation, among other areas. These skills will help to better prepare students for a wide range of business careers.

Investment Theory requires a prerequisite course in statistics that is outside of the minor's requirements. Several statistics can satisfy the prerequisite requirement; see PATH or NOVO for details.

Honors versions of these courses are available and satisfy minor requirements.

These electives require a prerequisite other than the minor’s required courses (example prerequisites include Coding Fundamentals with Python or equivalent, or Corporate Financial Reporting)

Note: As is the case for a finance major, all students pursuing a finance minor must earn a grade of C or better in FIN 20150.
