Mathematics (Minor)

The minor in Mathematics invites undergraduate students from across disciplines to deepen their understanding of mathematical reasoning and explore fundamental and advanced topics in mathematics. Designed for students whose primary fields of study are outside the Department of Mathematics, the minor complements majors in engineering, business, science, and the liberal arts, offering a rigorous yet accessible path into mathematical thought.

Restrictions

  • This minor is only open to undergraduate students and is not permitted for those pursuing a major or supplementary major in the Department of Mathematics.
  • At least 3 of the 5 required courses cannot count for another major.
  • No course can count for another minor.
  • Courses cannot be taken pass/fail.
  • Minimum GPA in the minor is 2.0
