AS 10098 Intro to Principles of Flight (1 Credit Hour)
A study of the general principles of flight, meteorology, navigation, and the federal aviation rules to prepare students for primary flying or private pilot examination.
AS 10101 Heritage and Values of the United States Air Force (1 Credit Hour)
AS 10101 is the first course in the two-semester sequence for AS 100. AS 100 is a survey course designed to introduce students to the United States Air Force and encourage participation in Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. Featured topics include: overview of ROTC, special programs offered through ROTC, mission and organization of the Air Force, brief history of the Air Force, introduction to leadership and leadership related issues, Air Force Core Values, Air Force officer opportunities, and an introduction to communication studies. Leadership Laboratory is mandatory for AFROTC cadets and complements this course by providing cadets with followership experiences.

AS 11101 Leadership Laboratory (0 Credit Hours)
(AS 11101, AS 11102, AS 21101, AS 21102, AS 31101, AS 31102, AS 41101, AS 41102) - Leadership Laboratory (LLAB) is a dynamic and integrated grouping of leadership developmental activities designed to meet the needs and expectations of prospective Air Force second lieutenants and complement the AFROTC academic program. It is a student planned, organized, and executed practicum conducted under the supervision of the detachment commander and operations flight commander. The focus LLAB objectives/activities are to promote the Air Force way of life and help effectively recruit and retain qualified cadets. This time is spent acquainting the cadets with basic Air Force knowledge and skills to help them determine whether they wish to continue with the AFROTC program. As a complement to AS 200 cadets will attend Field Training Preparation (FTP) directly before Leadership Laboratory. The FTP objectives provide training to ensure every cadet is mentally and physically prepared for the rigorous field training environment.

"Team and Leadership Fundamentals," focuses on laying the foundation for teams and leadership. "National Security Affairs/Preparation for Active Duty," is designed for college seniors and gives them the foundation to understand their role as military officers in American society. It is an overview of the complex social and political issues facing the military profession and requires a measure of sophistication commensurate with the senior college level. The final semester provides information that will prepare cadets for Active Duty.
